Along the Costa del Sol, large schools of bogue are frequently encountered around dive sites near Estepona, Casares Coast, Sotogrande, and San Roque. They are typically found between 10 and 40 meters depth in midwater columns above rocky reefs, seagrass beds, and coastal drop-offs. Bogue are highly social fish that form massive schools, sometimes numbering in the hundreds or even thousands.
